Ultra Luxury 3 Bedroom House Renovation in Punta del Este, Uruguay

I had been looking for several months at a house to purchase in Punta del Este.  I preferred an ocean view but I was willing to give that up if the house was close to the beach and there was room to build a pool.  

My realtor showed me this house that was built 2 years earlier so the house was new.   The location was great very close to downtown La Barra near Punta del Este.  I knew that I could create something special.  The house literally needed to be gutted.  I designed a renovation and I literally destroyed almost the entire house.   About the only thing left were the walls.

I ended up spending almost the same price I paid for the house in massive renovations.

The major renovations I performed are below:

·         I replaced the flooring throughout the entire house with a high end polished cement giving It a modern look and feel to it.

·         I changed out all the electrical wiring

·         I completely renovated both bathrooms and put in high end marble in each bathroom.  In the 2^nd bathroom I changed the shower to come from the roof to give it a “rainfall” look and feel.  All the fixtures were replaced throughout the bathrooms.

·         I took part of the patio and enclosed it adding a “Relaxation room”  with a Queen size futon and added air conditioning/heating to each bedroom including this room and the living room.

·         I added a full size in-ground heated pool in the backyard as well as wood decking and also an outdoor shower.

·         I renovated the entire kitchen area and added in marble countertops and custom made furniture

·         I added custom made closets for each bedroom.

·         I added a new BBQ pit in the backyard.

·         I added up expensive fencing around the house.

·         I had the entire front and back yard professional landscaped.

·         I added in a lighting system around the house including in the pool and included a motion sensor system that would activate the lighting if there is movement around the house.
